The Unspoken Trauma

Poetry
Your Unspoken Trauma

It gets hard to breathe

You find them everywhere you look

Anytime you take your food

And cant swallow

It gets difficult to feed yourself but how will they know?

You rub yourself on and on

You want to rip off your skin

You want to erase those dirty grips forever but

But they always stick to you behind your mind

They never leave

You try to fall asleep and their eyes flash in front of you

Not the eyes everyone wants to stare at all-day

But the eyes that give you a shiver down your spine

You clutch to yourself and hold your arms tight

You cover yourself but how long can someone protect oneself

Aren’t you tired?

Tired enough to carry on with your life with a smile

Tired enough to attend all the hangouts but will they know?

They never know the unspoken you

And they never know your storm

In the end, you got you

And your unspoken trauma

              You, me, We

We can fight through this.
